Informations of hundreds of people, who reacted against the visuals of two police officers beating a drunk driver in Erbağ district of Tokat on social media, were collected by the Cybercrimes Unit and an investigation was started due to “insulting a public officer” even through there was no criminal complaint against them.
What had happened?
O.A. was driving drunk and without license; had escaped the traffic police due to fear. After the chase, the traffic police officers caught the driver and beat him up. Visuals recorded by a passerby reflected on social media.
