Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office started an investigation against BirGün Daily’s Sunday issue for May 25, 2021 due to the theme of the issue as well as the photos published. The investigation was later transferred to Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the newspaper’s politics editor M. Emin Korkmaz testified within the investigation. The Sunday issue subject to investigation has been published with the topic “Rule of Gangs.”
