Members of the Private Sector Teachers’ Union and teachers affected by interview-based appointments, who staged a protest in Ankara for their rights, wanted to march to the Miners’ Monument on June 21. Police blocked the march, surrounded the teachers and detained at least five people. One teacher fell ill during the intervention and two people were taken to hospital.
