An indictment was prepared against journalist Pınar Gayıp, who was arrested in February, on the charge of “membership of an organisation.” The prosecutor’s office entered her press card, her work for ETHA, her coverage of the Saturday Mothers’ vigils and her attendance at Emine Ocak’s funeral into the file as evidence. The first hearing in the case was scheduled for September 14, 2026 at the Istanbul 23rd Heavy Criminal Court.
