The Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against 30 suspects in connection with allegations of embezzlement, bribery, and bid-rigging allegedly committed at the Devrek Municipality between 2019 and 2024. The prosecution has sought a prison sentence of up to 177 years for former Mayor Çetin Bozkurt. The indictment alleges that municipal funds were diverted to personal accounts through forged payroll records, irregular tenders, and bribery.
