Mücadele Birliği Daily’s Editor-In-Chief Süleyman Acar, Önsöz Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief Songül Yücel and Atılım Daily reporter Serpil Ünal were sentenced to 1 year, 6 months and 22 days of imprisonment each due to “making illegal organisation propaganda” through their social media posts on the Afrin operation in the lawsuit filed against them at Istanbul 36th Assize Court. The court deferred the announcement of the sentences against Yücel and Ünal, whereas didn’t defer the sentence against Acar due to him having received another sentence within another file.
