Kutbettin Cebe, who was on trial at Balıkesir 3rd Assize Court due to “making illegal organisation propaganda” through the documentary, “Roza, Country of Two Rivers” he directed, was sentenced to 2 years and four months of imprisonment. The documentary is on the fight against ISIS in Northern Syria, depicting the communal life there, and was screened in 2016. It has participated in many festivals since, in Turkey and around the world.
