Fadıl Barıştıran was sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment in the first hearing of the lawsuit filed at Van 7th Assize Court due to “making illegal organisation propaganda” through saying, “Hemu şehide Kürdistanê ra El Fatiha” (“Al Fatiha for all Kurdistan martyrs”) during the commemoration organized for Yunus Emre Şen. Şen, who had lost his life in the bomb attack organized by ISIS on July 20, 2015 in suruç, was described in the court decree as a “terrorist organisation member.”
