Artist Hozan Cane was arrested in Edirne after arriving in the province to participate in the electoral campaign of People’s Democratic Party (HDP) for the June 24 elections. Cane was sentenced to 6 years and three months of imprisonment. Edirne 3rd Assize Court sentenced the Kurdish artist, who is also a citizen of Germany, due to ‘illegal organization membership’ and issued for the artist to remain arrested.
