IHD Youth Commission made a press statement about the police violence and detentions at the commemoration of Suruç Massacre on July 20. During the commemoration in Ankara, 41 people were detained under torture; 18 people were taken to the courthouse. 14 people were given judicial control measures. The Commission emphasized that the state’s role behind ISIS gangs is hidden and that these impunity policies paved the way for the October 10 Massacre. “There is no statute of limitations in the crime of torture,” they said and announced that they will follow the process.
