As part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on February 3, Hüseyin Gültepe, representative of Ceylan Publications, was arrested during operations targeting the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP). Gültepe, who was detained on February 7, was arrested by the court and sent to prison. Of the 102 ESP members detained as part of the investigation, 77 had already been arrested. With Gültepe’s arrest, the number of detained ESP members rose to 78.
