Ali Isıyel, Fırat Yeşilçınar and Batuhan Batan announced on February 22, 2021 that they were fired from their positions at HalkTV as online editors. Isıyel and Yeşilçınar shared their experience on Twitter and stated that the news they reported on Republican People’s Party (CHP) municipalities were censored at first by the channel’s manager Cafer Mahiroğlu; afterwards, they were exposed to mobbing after their reactions against this application.
