On March 30, 2026, in Tokat, the gendarmerie intervened against members of the Revolutionary Youth Associations who were attempting to attend the Kızıldere commemoration. The gendarmerie attacked the group as they began marching, using pepper spray and batons. At least 78 people were detained.
