The press statement that Furkan Foundation members wanted to make in Siirt, demanding the release of seven volunteers arrested in the past weeks, was prevented by the police on the grounds that it was “unauthorized”. Citing the Governorate ban on protests, the police detained at least ten people. Intervening in the march that was planned to be held in Mardin, the police detained around 20 people. The protests organized by the members of the foundation were also prevented in Bursa, Konya and Osmaniye.
