Freedom House launched its “Freedom in the World 2021” report. According to the report, which carries the title, “Democracy Under Siege”, freedoms are regressing for 15 years across the world. The number of not-free countries is at the highest level since 2006, as four fifth of the entire world population live in countries with regressing freedoms. The report categorised Turkey under the “Not Free Countries” as with the past years. Turkey has regressed by 31 points in the last ten years, becoming the second country after Mali, where freedoms have regressed the most. Please click here for the full report.
