Free Web Turkey platform was established with the participation of Social Information and Communication Association and Alternative Information Association, istanbul hackerspace as well as SUB Broadcast within the Free Web Turkey project conducted by Media and Legal Studies Association (MLSA) against Internet censorship.
Free Web Turkey will work for creating awareness for journalists and lawyers concerned with Internet bans as well as to create a strong common attitude against censorship, independent of the banned content. The platform aims to fight against the pressure against freedom of expression and internet freedom with the increasing number of banned websites and censorship applications in Turkey.
