Free Journalists Initiative (ÖGI) announced the report on the rights violations against journalists in June.
The report indicates 192 journalists arrested in prisons, 2 journalists having been taken into custody, 2 journalists arrested, 33 journalists stood trial, 1 journalist sentenced to penalty fine, 7 journalists faced lawsuits, 3 journalists acquitted in cases against them and one press-media organization building raided by the police in June. It further called for the release of 192 arrested journalists, who are also Initiative 70s members.
