The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against 12 students due to the protests organised against the trees being cut-down for the unlicensed dormitory construction of Credit Dormitories Institute at the Middle East Technical University (METU) campus, was held at Ankara 46th Assize Court. The prosecution of the students will continue on May 25th due to “participating in illegal meetings and demonstrations.”
