Emin Öner, the owner of defense industry company ASSAN Group, and its general manager Gürcan Okumuş were detained on charges of “FETÖ membership” and “military espionage”. Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that the suspects were found to have links to the organization and espionage activities. The SDIF appointed trustees to 10 companies operating under the ASSAN Group. The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that searches are ongoing at residences and workplaces and that the investigation continues in multiple directions. In a separate investigation, former MKE President İsmet Sayhan was also arrested for improper use of state documents.
