Another arrest warrant was issued against former Republican People’s Party (CHP) Istanbul MP Eren Erdem, who was recently released in the lawsuit he was arrested in remand due to the news published on Karşı Daily with Erdem as the Editor-In-Chief. Erdem was released by Istanbul 23rd Assize Court and later was arrested by Istanbul 24th Assize Court without even having left prison. Erdem faces an imprisonment claim from 8.5 years up to 19 years due to “aiding an illegal organization without being a member” and “violation of privacy” within the lawsuit.
