President Erdoğan’s son-in-law Selçuk Bayraktar filed a lawsuit for compensation regarding the news titled “TÜBİTAK is working for the groom’s foundation” published in Birgün Daily. 250 thousand liras of non-pecuniary damages were demanded in the lawsuit filed against the newspaper and its reporter İsmail Arı at the Istanbul 23rd Civil Court of First Instance regarding the news that TÜBİTAK spent 7.6 million TL for TEKNOFEST organized by the Turkey Technology Team (T3) Foundation.
