The lawsuit filed by DISK against TurkStat due to the non-implementation of the court decision in the case it won against TurkStat starts tomorrow at the Ankara 3rd Administrative Court.
TÜİK had stopped publishing the price list of items used in the calculation of inflation in June 2022, and DİSK took this decision to the administrative court and won the case in 2023. However, TurkStat refused to publish the data despite the court ruling. In response, DISK filed a criminal complaint against the head of TurkStat and his deputies, but the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office rejected the application.
While the court process is described as “the trial of the trial of the trial of the trial”, DISK President Arzu Çerkezoğlu and board members will hold a press statement in front of the court before the hearing.
