Dicle Fırat Journalists Association announced their February 2021 report. According to the report, 6 journalists were detained, one journalist was arrested, two journalists were attacked, 8 journalists were exposed to mistreatment, 2 journalists were threatened and 2 journalists were violently prevented from following news information in February. A total of 4 investigations were opened and 11 lawsuits were filed against journalists, 6 journalists were sentenced to a total of 26 years of imprisonment in total, 2 journalists faced mistreatment in prison, 174 news articles and 3 websites were banned from access nad 85 journalists were arrested in total.
