A venue in Fatih district of Istanbul was shut down due to “obscenity” after images shared on social media. H.Ç., who appeared in the footage, was detained upon the prosecutor’s order. The establishment was given an administrative fine of 120,482 TL for serving hookah and alcohol. The license of the venue, which had been closed twice before by Fatih Municipality, was revoked and it was banned from operating on September 26. A day earlier, a similar investigation was launched at an entertainment venue in Izmir and a woman was arrested.
