Women participating in the Feminist Night Walk organised in Taksim on March 8 were detained by the police with house raids. The Istanbul Governorate announced that 13 people were detained due to the slogans they chanted; and the Contemporary Lawyers Association recorded that the women were charged with “insulting the President.”
