The prosecution of arrested former People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş continued at Ankara 19th Assize Court. Demirtaş attended the hearing from Edirne Type-F Closed Prison through the Audiovisual Informatics System (SEGBIS). Accused of various charges, especially “management of a terrorist organisation” with a claim of imprisonment for up to 142 years, Demirtaş will remain arrested. The next hearing was scheduled for September 2, 2019.
