Adana 8th High Criminal Court issued the acquittal of Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Mehmet Arslan, who was on trial with the allegations of ‘illegal organization membership’ and ‘making illegal organization propaganda’ with his phone calls.
Arslan had previously been sentenced to six years and three months of imprisonment within the case; whereas the sentence was reversed by the Court of Appeals. DBP Co-Chair is arrested since February 8 due to his statements and social media posts on the Afrin operation.
