Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) announced that 250 journalists are imprisoned worldwide. The number of arrested journalists in Turkey were identified to be 68 last year, this year it was recorded as 47. In 2019, Turkey has left the title of “the country imprisoning the highest number of journalists in the world” to China after four years. The report indicated that this increase in the number can’t be evaluated as a progress.
