The 31st day of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) trial, in which Ekrem İmamoğlu is also a defendant, was postponed due to tensions. After the hearing, the lawyers filed a report stating that they had seen Ferhat Murat, a journalist close to the ruling party, in the corridor used by the prosecutor and judges. The lawyers noted that Murat made threatening gestures toward the defendants and their attorneys and that the gendarmerie blocked the lawyers from entering the corridor. Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that the court was “trying to create a certain perception.”
