The Constitutional Court issued that the destruction of the “Humanity Monument” built by sculptor Mehmet Aksoy in Kars was a violation of freedom of expression and arts. The monument was built in 2006 on Üçler Hill overlooking the province and was destroyed after (Prime Minister of the time) Erdoğan called it a “freak” during his visit in Kars in 2011.
