The application made by Ahmet Altan at the Constitutional Court was denied. Altan was detained and arrested on September 23, 2016 due to his journalistic activities, released after the “correction” made by the Court of Cassation on the local court decree and was arrested once again after the objection of the Prosecutor’s Office against his release. The Constitutional Court decided that Altan’s arrest is due to a “finalised court decree” and that there is “no rights violation.”
