The Constitutional Court corrected the mistake. The cases concerning “academics for peace”, were opened after the president called the judiciary and Rectorates to action. These cases and the sentences are invalid after The Constitutional Court’s decision. This decision is a result of public resistance.
The change.org petition was a small part of this resistance. We congratulate everyone who has signed to the petition in solidarity with the academics and also thank change.org for their support with the campaign.
