The Constitutional Court (AYM) issued 10 thousand TLs of moral compensation to be paid to Kemalettin Rıdvan Yalın, who was shot with a police bullet during the commemoration event organised on the first anniversary of the death of journalist Hrant Dink. Istanbul 18th Criminal Court had previously sentenced defendant police officer Muhammet Gişi to 1 year, 5 months and 15 days of imprisonment due to “willful injury;” the sentence was deferred and abated due to good conduct even though Gişi never attended any hearing.
