Ankara 30th Civil Court of First Instance denied the 2-million-lira compensation case to be filed against Cumhuriyet Daily by Fatih Erdoğan, husband of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) Ankara Parliament Member Asuman Erdoğan, and Pacific Real Estate Investment and Construction Incorporated, due to the news published in the newspaper about the company’s relationship with the state. The Press Ad Institute had previously issued a 10-day ad ban against the newspaper due to the related news.
