The indictment prepared against seven people, four of them arrested, was accepted by Istanbul Anatolian 60th Criminal Court of First Instance after they have participated in the protest organised in Kadıköy on February 2 against the appointment of Justice and Development Party (AKP) member Melih Bulu as rector to Boğaziçi University. Arrested university students Necmettin Erden, Akın Karakuş and Koral Hacıbeyoğlu were released. House imprisonment decrees against Recep Acar and Yunus Emre Karaca were revoked. Ömer Şengel, who was on trial within the same lawsuit, will remain arrested as he is arrested in remand within another file. The first hearing of the lawsuit was scheduled for October 20.
