The prosecution of the lawsuit filed on the death of Berkin Elvan, who was shot dead with a tear gas shell in Okmeydanı, Istanbul during the Gezi Park protests, continued at Istanbul 17th Assize Court. The court decided for a discovery research to be made on the crime scene, accompanied by an expert, six years after the incident. The claim for defendant police officer Fatih Dalgalı to be arrested was denied once again. The next hearing was scheduled to May 8, 2019.
