On July 7, 2025, Dev Turizm-İş workers at Beltur, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, who were dismissed for their union activities, chained themselves to the IMM building. The police intervened in the protest demanding reinstatement; the workers whose chains were cut were detained.
The workers stated that they were fired for demanding humane wages and working conditions. “If the wrong is not reversed, everywhere is a field of struggle,” they said, calling for the resistance to grow.
