On April 30, the Istanbul Governor’s Office banned demonstrations and events in Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Fatih, and Şişli scheduled for May 1. The Governor’s Office approved only the applications submitted for Kadıköy and Kartal. The decision was announced to be in effect for the entire day.
