According to the data shared by the Monitoring Association for Equal Rights, at least 190 peaceful meetings and demonstrations were intervened in the four-month period between May and August 2020; at least 660 people were detained. The use of the right to meeting and demonstration in this period was restricted by Govenrorates and District Governorates in 41 provinces with 154 local administrative decrees, 105 of which were general and 40 were specific bans.
