Revolutionary Youth Associations (DGD) Secretary General and Istanbul University Department of Sociology student Berkay Ustabaş was released after being kept under arrest in remand since January 5, 2017 due to attending the funeral of Berkin Elvan after he was killed by the police during the Gezi Park protests. Istanbul 26th Assize Court issued a travel ban and a verdict of judicial measure against Ustabaş. The next hearing will be held on April 15, 2019 at the courtroom of Silivri Penitentiary Institute Campus, starting at 10:00.
