The Tobacco and Alcohol Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry imposed an administrative fine of 82,244 lira on film actor Yiğit Dören, who lived in the Menteşe district of Muğla, because an alcoholic beverage brand appeared in his social media posts. The department considered the photographs and videos to be advertising and promotion of alcoholic beverages. Dören objected to the fine, saying his posts had no advertising or commercial purpose, and applied to the Muğla Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty to have the sanction annulled.
