The lawsuit filed against 22 journalists, who were detained during the police raid against Özgür Gündem Daily after it was shut-down with a Statutory Decree in August 2016, on charges of “resisting to prevent duty” and “insulting” a t the Istanbul 5th Criminal Court of First Instance resulted in acquittal.
