Educator Acun Karadağ had been protesting in front of the Human Rights Monument on Yüksel Street since November 2016 to get his job back after being dismissed from profession with an emergency decree. Karadağ was acquitted of the charge ‘illegal organization membership’ in the lawsuit filed against him. Karadağ remained arrested for six months in 2013 within the file due to ‘illegal organization membership.’ During his protest after being dismissed from profession with an emergency decree, it was asserted that this lawsuit was the reason for his dismissal.
