The X account @CAOIletisim11 of Ekrem İmamoğlu’s Presidential Candidacy Office was blocked by a decision of Istanbul’s 8th Criminal Judgeship of Peace dated 29 July on the grounds of protecting national security and public order. X made the account unavailable in Türkiye on 3 August. The Freedom of Expression Association reported that four different X accounts linked to Ekrem İmamoğlu had so far been blocked through eight separate judgeship decisions. Following the latest decision, the Candidacy Office opened a new account under the username @CA_iletisim.
