Bakırköy 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace blocked access to three reports published by Kısa Dalga concerning allegations about Justice Minister Akın Gürlek and parliamentary questions regarding the investment fund crisis. The court cited protection of national security, public order and public health as grounds for its decision. One of the blocked reports covered allegations made by CHP Chair Özgür Özel in a speech in Rize on 9 May 2026 that Gürlek recorded his meetings with President Erdoğan. The other two reports concerned parliamentary questions submitted by TİP MP Ahmet Şık to Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek. Şık asked whether certain politicians and bureaucrats had invested directly or through relatives during the closed period of Tera Portföy’s TLY fund, whether Mehmet Türkoğlu, Osman Dündar Çiftçi and Hayrettin Koç had carried out million-dollar transactions through portfolio companies, and whether they had made large withdrawals before the funds defaulted. The court blocked access to the three publications reporting these allegations and questions.
