Access to former judge Sidar Demiroğlu’s X account was blocked under Article 8/A of Law No. 5651. The decision cited the protection of national security and public order. X made the account unavailable in Türkiye. Demiroğlu had been suspended by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) in 2023 over allegations of bribery and irregularities at the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse and was dismissed from the profession in June 2026. Demiroğlu had been publishing statements and documents on the recently opened account concerning the allegations against him and the HSK process.
