Access to five articles related to money laundering investigations published on the BirGün newspaper’s website was blocked on January 1. The Istanbul 7th Criminal Court of Peace issued a blocking order for the articles, one published in 2023 and four in 2025. It was noted that two of the blocked articles were written by BirGün columnist Timur Soykan and covered money laundering investigations involving the Paramount Hotel. With this decision, the articles in question were blocked from access in Turkey.
