Access bans of the week

Van 2nd Criminal Judicature of Peace brought an access ban against Etkin News Agency, JinNews and Yeni Demokrasi Daily websites due to the protection of national security and public order.

 

Van 3rd Criminal Judicature of Peace brought an access ban against the news article on ArtıGerçek, which revealed that the Prosecutor conducting the investigation on the citizens detained, tortured and thrown off a helicopter in Van is indeed the same Prosecutor who ordered the detainment of journalists, who reported the news on the incident.

 

Afyonkarahisar 1st Criminal Judicature of Peace brought access bans against the content on Sözcü and HaberSol regarding the statements of Düzağaç Mayor, who was dismissed from the Justice and Development Party (AKP).

 

Beykoz Criminal Judicature of Peace brought an access ban against the news articles on BirGün, Cumhuriyet and Evrensel Daily regarding Kalyon Construction being exempted from paying taxes in the tender they won for the railroad construction in Bursa.

 

Şanlıurfa 1st Criminal Judicature of Peace brought an access bans against the news published on Cumhuriyet, Sözcü and Gerçek Gündem, which revealed that Mehmet Salih Saraç is still an assembly member at the Metropolitan Municipality after having resigned from the Şanlıurfa AKP Youth Organisation Chairmanship. With a video he took from a jacuzzi in July 2020, Mehmet Salih Saraç had said, “You poor people, don’t disturb me.” After the public controversy caused by the video, he had resigned from his position at the party.

 

Ankara 4th Criminal Judicature of Peace brought an access ban against the news published on Cumhuriyet Daily regarding the illumination tender for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry being given to the company of Emine Erdoğan’s cousin.

 

The news on an individual, who was convicted of fraud, was caught leaving the office of a Prosecutor at Izmir Courthouse, was banned from access.
