Access bans were issued against 297 news articles on Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu carrying all corruption during the Justice and Development Party (AKP) ruling in municipality administration to court. The access ban was issued by Istanbul 4th Criminal Judicature of Peace following the request of Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, who is one of the 23 names facing a criminal complaint with the allegation that the public was damaged for 15.4 million TLs.
News on JinNews, BirGün, Evrensel, Sol News and Gazete Duvar on a 15-year-old being exposed to sexual assault in Gercüş district of Batman were banned from access due to the protection of “national security and public order.”
Freedom of Expression Association’s news on the access ban issued by Ankara 8th Criminal Judicature of Peace was censored with a decree from the same Criminal Judicature of Peace.
