Ministry of the Interior announced that investigations were started against 226 people within the past week (23-30 April) due to their social media posts. According to the Ministry statement, those investigations were opened following the evaluations made on 1,327 social media accounts. Social media users were charged with, ‘making illegal organization propaganda,’ ‘insulting government authorities,’ ‘inciting people towards resentment, hatred and hostility’ and ‘attempting against the indivisible integrity of state.’
